Pay outstanding fines within 48-hours after vehicle has been booted to avoid it being towed. You cannot contest individual citations at the Boot and Tow Hearing. The Boot and Tow Hearing will only determine whether or not your vehicle has a sufficient number of delinquent parking citation fines to make it eligible to be booted or towed. The Hearing shall be conducted within 48-hours of the request, excluding weekends and holidays. Request a Hearing in-person at one of our four Public Service Centers and make an appointment. If you believe that your vehicle was booted or towed in error, then you can request an urgent Boot and Tow Hearing. If the Registered Owner is not present, the Registered Owner’s representative may want to have the Letter of Authorization notarized or have a photocopy of the Registered Owner’s valid verifiable government photo identification and other supporting documentation. Note that you must pay all parking fines within 48-hours of the time your vehicle was booted or your vehicle will be subject to towing. You may also pay the fines and boot fee at a Public Service Center and then call the Boot Release line to arrange for the boot to be removed. A Traffic Officer will be dispatched to remove the boot during normal releasing hours: 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM (releases requested after 3:00 PM are not guaranteed). If you are unable to remove and return the boot yourself, you may call the boot release line 24-hours a day at (855) 288-2642 to pay the outstanding parking citations and $150.00 boot fee. Failure to return the boot within 24-hours or causing damage to the boot may result in additional fees. You must return the boot to one of the locations listed below within 24-hours. Once your payment has been approved, you will be given a code to release the boot. You may call the Boot Release line 24-hours a day at (855) 288-2642 and use a credit card to pay all outstanding parking citations and the $150.00 boot fee. If your vehicle was booted, you must pay an additional $150.00 boot fee to have your vehicle released.
